RMIT Engineering Design 4 – GUI for an Electrical Drive Control System (Honours Project)
March 2017 – June 2017
This project is my honours engineering project which is a software-based graphical interface developed to be used for various electrical drive control systems in the RMIT power labs. The application has been developed with the C++ programming language and the QT library, which the GUI runs on a Raspberry Pi under embedded Linux.
By implementing a digital solution, we can create a generic GUI which can be customised for different electrical drive control systems. This provides several advantages where the user can display more information, create a series of screens, display arbitrary graphics and plots which outperforms the old analog display.
