Kensho – Remote Pump Control Android App
November 2018 – June 2019
This project is an Android app that I developed for Kensho which allows users to remotely monitor and control live pumps via the cellular network. The user can select which pump they want to send commands to via the modems menu and view the history of the particular modem on the commands menu.
The app was implemented with Java and SQLite with the major components of the app include:
- Android fragments for the GUI with a navigation bar
- Cellular communication with the Android Telephony library
- Backend MySQL database to store selected contacts
- Shared preferences for saving and restoring data
